TV

As my brother was watching TV I found an awesome show. It's called "Nothing But Trailers", where they show nothing but previews for upcoming films. It's lame but it's something I'd watch. What would really make it cool would be if they showed trailers for older films as well.

Doomsday

This is going to be a badass film...It's from the guy who did Dog Soldiers and The Descent.
X-Files 2

Why can't things be aligned at the right time. I have had dozen of opportunities over the years to see movies being filmed across from my Grandparents, but have never been able to go due to some circumstance or another. Then last year I even had a chance to be an extra in one of them, but once again I couldn't (at least my brother was able to). Now here's a real kicker...They are filming scenes for the new Xfiles movie at my best friends wife's parents house. Her parents have met the stars and her Dad even gets to be an extra. They are driving up to their parents house this weekend to watch the filming and meet the cast and they have invited me along. Of course I have responsibilities and have to work, plus driving up there this time of year can be dangerous...Man this sucks. Hopefully I can find my original X-files poster and get them to autograph it.

Just when things couldn't get worse...My best friends father in law was talking with the director and he has personally invited me to come watch them film...F!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sweet

This is probably a duh to some people but I just found out the computer program I have will perfectly rip a studio dvd. I would never use this for evil b/c even with this power I would still spend $30 a pop to buy them on DVD. Just like breasts I like the real thing to fake ones....HAHAHA lol! I think I almost died from laughter.
The Trews

Here is the lastest rockin' video from The Trews for their new single 'Hold Me In Your Arms'. Their new album comes out in Feb. If you have the chance to see these guys live I suggest you do, b/c they put on a great show. I've seen then live four times now and plan to make it a 5th this year.

I think I'm definitely going to have to go on vacation to somewhere in the States in Feb now. Hot Topic has put out another awesome Dawn of the Dead shirt. I know I could just easily order it but the moment I cave into buying stuff other than DVD's online I going to be constantly broke. This is also the poster image I'd love to get tattooed on my back but I don't think anyone would be skilled enough to pull it off.
Forklift Driver

Today at work I became a certified forklift operator. It's something I hardly ever use but now I can officially use one. During the the course the first thing the instructor showed us was a German made instructional video. It was quite funny and one of my co-workers said it would be awesome if it was on youtube. The instructor said it was so now it's here for you to enjoy as well. The version I saw had no subtitles, so you don't have to waste your time reading it.

Best and Worst Movies of 2007

It's a little late but who cares right. Here is my list for favorite and worst films of 2007. They're in no particular order and I judge them on pure enjoyment. I'll admit some of the films aren't great but I had fun watching them. Plus I don't have the opportunity to watch every film that comes out (although it's pretty damn close) so I know I'm missing out on some really awesome films that I should include.

Across the Universe: a wonderfully stylish musical love story set to the tunes of The Beatles
Alpha Dog: Don't let the fact JT stars in it throw you off, it's quite the story and well acted.
Bridge to Terabithia: Saw this on the plane to Toronto and I'm glad I did. It has quite the sad ending that you never see coming.
Disturbia: Rear Window on crack as I call it.
DOA: Dead or Alive: This movie was so bad that it was good.
Enchanted: It's weird but this one made me feel young again. Great date film.
Good Luck Chuck: Glad this was an "R" rated comedy if it wasn't it wouldn't have been any good.
The Invisible: Awesome soundtrack, definitely a cool film for people in my age group. In a way it was a cheesy film but it was a fun cheese.
The Kingdom: The last 30 minutes or so is edge of your seat awesomeness
Lucky You: Your hooked by the first scene. If that doesn't do it just turn it off.
The Mist: Quite intense once they start talking about humanity and religion.
Next: Don't judge this film by the trailer or Nic Cage's hair
Reign Over Me: A touching drama.
Severance: I think I enjoyed this one even more than Shaun of the Dead.
Shoot 'Em Up: Absurdity at it's best. Great film to watch with a group of people.
Smokin' Aces: Awesome in the way a film like Snatch is awesome.
Stardust: Reminiscent of a fantasy film of the 80's designed for adults.
Superbad: The most quoted film of the year? I am McLovin
Transformers: Awesome on so many levels
Wild Hogs: A great comedy for older people.
Zodiac: Fincher Rocks!

I don't have a lot of films I really disliked namely b/c I don't go to a film thinking that it is going to suck ahead of time. I sure there was a lot more crap this year but I saved my time for even watching them.

Captivity: You know the whole film from the trailer.
The Condemned: How could they have fucked this one up. They had a great plot but didn't deliver.
Dead Silence: Only the ending was good. Up to that point it was a horrible horror film, only a five year old would be scared of it.
Evan Almighty: Ouch! So not funny.
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix: Boring!
I Am Legend: Disappointed! I was picking this apart from the start. If you've read the book you'll feel the same way.
The Number 23: a bad thriller
Premonition: What a piece of shit!
War: Drag's on and on.

Everything else I saw falls somewhere in the middle. The films I wish I got to see last year:
The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford
Atonement
The Darjeeling Limited
Eagle vs Shark
88 Minutes
Gone Baby Gone
The Jane Austen Book Club
Juno
Macbeth
The Nines
Southland Tales
Weirdsville
