Hello

Have I lost all my readers yet? Don't worry I'm still out there. I'm sinking but one of these days I'll float back to the surface.

Cool

Self-described anarchists poured dye into Rome's Trevi Fountain, turning the water in the tourist magnet a bright blood-red. It's cool b/c I visited that fountain. The place gets stupidly packed with people, thus making it a prime spot for pickpockets. I had my hands on my wallet the whole time I was near this spot. They also hate it when people try to get in the fountain, or even put their feet in it. They have police guarding it just for that. I saw one guy trying to put his feet in the fountain and they yelled at him and escorted him away from the fountain.

Tisk, tisk

If you read my blog a year ago you may have read an article I wrote on abortion. Click here to view that article. Back then I was driving home from work along the main street and there was a bunch of pro-lifers picketing. One year later they were up to their same tricks. I'm pro-choice, what a women wants to do with her body is up to them. The only part I would disagree with is using abortion as a form of birth control. Pro-life people are entitled to there opinion but I hate it when someone tries to throw their view down your throat, which is what they do. Last year they had some really dumb signs and this year wasn't any different. The good thing is I didn't notice any of the signs that I hated last year. Instead they have a whole set of new ones. One I remember reading was "take my head not my life". First off what the hell does that even mean. Second, if I were to remove your head you would no longer have a life. These pro-lifers aren't too smart.

Evan Almighty

This Tuesday Evan Almighty is coming out on DVD. Am I promoting this fact so you rent it...Hell no! After I saw it in the theaters I gave it a 2.5 out of 5, but after retrospect my rating has gone down. This is actually now part of worst films of the year list. I'm also not mentioning the release as a warning to skip it. I've noticed something about it's DVD release that needs to be pointed out. It's coming out in a "Green" DVD package made with recyclable paper and printed with soy-based ink. Sort of like the same packaging they did for 'An Inconvenient Truth'. Yeah, were saving a tree one DVD at a time! That's not the point either. Here's the conspiracy I'm getting at. The reason for this packaging is not b/c of it being environmental friendly but b/c it's cheaper and Universal needs to make it's money back. They spent a shit load of money on this movie, but the film was a piece of shit and it didn't show the return they were hoping for. Then if you want to take that one step further they're supporting a failing next gen DVD format so they need to save some more money...lol. They disguise the true reason, so we will never know, but I'm on to you Universal.

Week 4 Monsters
Saturday October 27th, 7pm

I finish my horror marathon with monster week. And what are the coolest monster? Vampires, Werewolves, and Demons.

The Lost Boys
This has to be one of the best vampire film out there. After moving to a new town, two brothers are convinced that the area is frequented by vampires. The older brother joins the Vampire gang and it's up to his youner brother to save him. Directed by Joel schumacher (A Time to Kill, Batman Forever) . Click here for the trailer

Exactly what a werewolf film should be and that is a wolf on two legs not on all fours. See a group of british soilders vs a pack of Werewolves. Directed by up and comer horror director Neil Marshall (The Descent). Click here for the trailer.

Patrons locked inside a bar are forced to fight monsters. This film was covered in Ben Affleck's and Matt Damon's reality series Project Greenlight and produced by Wes Craven. Click here for the trailer.
