Number 23
2.5 G's out of 5. A mediocre thriller. From the trailer it looked like it was going to rock, plus it was directed by Joel Schumacher. However it didn't kick as much ass as I was hoping. I was fairly disinterested in the first half of the film. Once it got going it was okay, but the twist wasn't that big of a deal. As a psych major I did enjoy it on one level. I'll probably be picking this one up previously viewed.
Ghost Rider
2 G's out of 5. I was really looking forward to this one as well. The writer and director also did Daredevil and I think that has been my favorite superhero film to date. I was therefore hoping for another awesome film, but I was sadly let down. I think they tried to hard to make it too funny, plus the fight scenes were really weak. Maybe it's b/c I was still really sick when I saw it. I did however like it when Johnny Blaze flips the bird to the cops. That did make me laugh. I think I was the only who laughed at the scene making me think I was the only one who caught it. Or maybe I just imagined it thinking that's what the scene needed to make it better.
Blood and Chocolate
You know why it's called Blood and Chocolate b/c Blood and Donuts was taken. I think only Colin would probably get that joke but whatever. 2.5 G's out of 5. This film had so much potential, but then some moron had to come along and fuck it up. I never read the book (wanted too though) but I hear that a lot has been changed, the biggest being the ending. One major flaw was the film takes place in Bucharest when in the novel it takes place in America. Personally it would have been a lot better taking place in North America than Europe. It's just so cliche now to see a werewolf film taking place in Europe. I also hate it when they have the werewolf on all fours. In my mind they should be on two legs. At least they go about explaining things, making it make sense that they are on all fours. Plus they made it PG-13. When will Hollywood learn you can't make a good horror film with that rating. I bet if they had followed the book more it wouldn't have been so bad.
