TransformersHere is but one belated review of many films to come. I had the chance to check this one out even before the general public. I won't tell you how; but it does make for a great story. I'm a 80's kid but I wasn't big into the whole Transformers thing. I personally only had one of the toys, which I remember getting for one of my birthdays. My best friend when I was younger was big into them. He was an only child and his parents bought him everything Transformers related. I remember many times going over to his house and playing with them. So unlike most geeks I wasn't really dieing to see this movie, but still manged to see it before them all...'evil grin'. I therefore probably represent a vast majority of people who are aware of what the Transformers are but were either too old or too young to get into it. On that note I would give it 4.5 G's out of 5. It was a humorous, entertaining action packed film. It perfectly blends a Bay action film with a Speilberg family film. One thing I really liked was the relationship between Shia Labeouf''s and Megan Fox's characters. It's the teenage awkwardness nerd in love with hot chick that we've seen time and time again but always fun to watch. Also in the beginning the Autobots were a bit goofy at times but it just added to the fun of the whole film. The old school fans may not like those parts but it was something I enjoyed. The film may have also acted as 2hr car commercial but it certainly does work. I think yellow is the most horrible color for a car but I would certainly love to have a yellow Camero and pimp it out Autobot style. In the end I would say it's a great summer film for fans and non fans alike.
