3 G's out of 5. I would say that this one is a somewhat above average thriller. If you haven't seen the trailer yet I'd say don't. It's not that it wrecks the film but it does pretty much sum up the entire beginning and middle sections. While I was watching the film I was waiting for them to get to something I haven't seen. Also the trailer makes it seen that Wilson and Beckinsale are a happily married couple, but they actually are in the process of getting a divorce and hate each other. Towards the end they almost pulled off a good finale. They try to avoid the cliche ending and you think they have pulled it off but then they come around full circle and pull off the cliche ending. Of course by not following the cliche ending they set themselves up for following a cliche ending so they were pretty much screwed no matter what. Sorry guys...everything has already been done in films. They could have a gone done one route I guess but maybe that just would have been too much of a downer ending. I applaud Frank Whaley for playing an extremely creep guy. I would say this film is probably better as a rental.
