ShooterToday was a first for me. When I was purchasing my ticket for the film I actually got IDed. I've never been IDed before, in order to see a film. I was actually shocked when she asked if she could see some ID. It made me feel young so that was nice. I guess that will teach me to shave...LOL. Since I know the managers I told them it was nice to see their employees enforcing the ratings. I even sent off a letter of compliment to the company. However I really don't agree with them having to play the parents to minors who want to see a restricted film. I've been able to see restricted films ever since I was young and it always pissed me off when I was younger that I couldn't get into an 18A film without my parents or one of my older brothers coming along. I remember a few years back a theatre in the States had a program where minors got ID cards that aloud them with the permission of their parents to see restricted film. I always thought that was a good idea, but since I'm well over the age limit I don't really care anymore. Anyways...
I give the film 4 G's out 5. When I first saw the trailer for this one I personally thought it was going to suck. It even had a premise similar to 'Most Wanted' with Keenen Ivory Wayans and that film just blew. If it wasn't for Antonie Fuqua directing I may not have even bothered with it, but I'm glad I did. Other reasons making this a film worth watching is parts of it were filmed just outside of town, on the Universal Studio's tour we drove by the cabin which they blow up at the end and it was actually an 18A film. When action movies puss out and go the PG-13 route they tend to blow. I will say that it was a nicely packaged action film. I could use a line from Hills Have Eyes 2 to describe Mark Wahlberg's character "it's Rambo resurrected". If your looking for a violent entertaining action film this is one too see. I also found out that the book this film was based on has 2 sequels. It would be cool if they go the route of Bourne Identity and turn this one into a trilogy of films.

I still want to see Shooter, I tell people all the time that when we went to LA we saw the cabin used in the film. I still cant get over that was the same cabin in The Great OutDoors. Thats so awesome that your going to skydive. Thats on my list of things to do before I die too. Maybe this year or next. But if you Chicken out You better not say a word to anyone because you wont live it down.
You got checked for Id??? Anyone that go's out with me and we need our Id will always get asked for it since I looks so young. But thats cool that you wrote a letter. More customers should write letters to the theater to tell managers how well their staff is doing. LOL
You can put one more thing on your list. You can go swimming with some sharks, go on a roller coaster. Wait so your going Skydiving but you wont go on a roller coaster????? Whats up with that? Hahaha

I get customers at FS telling my manager how great I am all the time so I though I would pay it forward.
I never even though of swimming with sharks before, but I will have to add that one to my list. Other things on the list are swimming with Dolphins and going scuba-diving. That is weird...I have no problem with wanting to go skydiving but I refuse to go on a big roller coaster. I'm sure one day it will eventually happen.
