Dead Silence

2.5 G's out of 5. I didn't really care for this one. I thought this would be how I felt. If it wasn't from the writers and director of the original 'Saw' I never even would have bothered with it. Scary films using have thous 'cat in the closet' scare moments. You never know when they're coming and they are meant to make you jump out of your seat. At least for the general public...nothing has made me jump out of my seat since I was a kid. In this film they warn you ever time there is going to be one of those moments. The film is called 'Dead Silence' and that's exactly what happens just before something if going to make you jump. All of a sudden things will go quite warning the character and the audience that something is about to happen. Sort of defeats the purpose of a horror film if you ask me. It did have two positive elements in my opinion. The old lady 'Mary Shaw' was pretty creepy and the surprise ending. I never even saw this ending coming, but it does make you have to reevaluate the film. If it wasn't for the ending I would be trashing it. Knowing me I'll end up buying it previously viewed for $6.99.

On a side movie note, I just found out that one of my best friends younger brother was an extra in the film 'Shooter'. In the opening segment he can be seen in the background behind Danny Glover with a headset on. I wish I knew that before I watched it so I could have looked for him.
