Los Angeles
I love LA…..We Love it!
Here is the much-delayed story of my trip to LA. For those who don’t know it was a surprise for my oldest brothers 30th birthday from his fiancée Aly. She had wanted to know if I wanted to join them. I’ve always wanted to go to LA, so I was like hell yeah. My brother didn’t even know he was going until the night before they left and he wasn’t going to know that I was going until I met them at the airport. Aly had planned it perfectly so I would end up meeting them in Calgary and we’d all take the same flight to LA. So was my brother surprised about seeing me? Partially. When he found out that their friend Jenn was also going he was a little suspicious on who else might be going. Therefore he called me on my cell phone while I’m sitting in the Vancouver airport trying to catch me in a lie. He wanted to know where I was and I wouldn’t give him an answer, so that raised his suspicions even more, but if anyone calls my cell asking where I am I usually never tell them anyway. I knew he might have know something so I called him like 10 minutes later making up some bullshit story. I got into Calgary before him so I got to wait for him to show up. When he did, I snuck up behind him shocking him, but it wasn’t the biggest shock b/c he thought I might have been going.
Before we even left Canada we got to see a famous person. Taking the same plane as us was Ex Super Model/ Ex Mrs Rod Stewart/ Stacy’s Mom Rachael Hunter. So that was pretty cool. We even took a picture of her. Even though it’s just the back of her head…Hehe. Unfortunately are plane was delayed for about 2 hrs or so. The good news was we were the only plane to actually make it out of Calgary to LA. Thankfully I didn’t plan on meeting them in LA, b/c I would have been waiting a long time not knowing when and if they’d show up.
On our first day we went to Warner Brothers Studios. The cool thing about this tour was we actually got to walk around some of the stages and back lot sets. It was pretty cool seeing the town square from The Dukes of Hazard, and the church used in The Lost Boys. We also got to see some vehicles they have used in some of their films like Scooby-Doo, Batman Begins, and Harry Potter. That night we did a tour of the Hollywood walk of fame, and saw Graumann’s Chinese theatre. I probably took about 50 or more pictures just of the stars on the walk of fame. The shitty thing was both Jenn and I wanted to see James Dean’s star but we couldn’t find it. The map said it was right out side the Capitol Records building but we couldn’t find the damn thing. We also went by some famous nightclubs on Sunset Blvd such as The Viper Room, The Roxy, The Whiskey A Go Go, and the Comedy Store. We also drove by some special event where we saw JC Chasez doing the red carpet.
The next day we went to Disney Land and California Adventure. For the first time I went on Roller Coaster like rides (at least that’s what they are promoted as). When I was younger there was no way in hell I would go rides like Space Mountain, the Matterhorn, or Thunder Mountain. They were pretty freakin cool. The awesome thing about Space Mountain was it was Rockin to the sounds of the Red Hot Chili Peppers. So I got to listen to ‘Higher Ground’ as I was riding Space Mountain. I may have gone on these rides but I still refused to go on the Roller Coaster that went upside down. Maybe next time I’ll go on a ride like that.
Then we went to Universal Studios. I’ve always wanted to do the Universal tour. Unlike the Warner tour, we had to stay on the tram the whole time. With the Universal tour it’s more of a ride itself. It was still pretty freakin awesome. I’ve always wanted to see the Psycho house and Jaws pop out of the water. That night we cruised through Beverly Hills and went back to Disney. On our last day we wound up back at Disney before we had to leave.
So that’s my trip in a nutshell. In three days I took 700 hundred pictures. I had the space on my camera so I was taking a picture of damn near everything. We also did a lot of shopping, where I probably spent way too much on things I don’t need. I’ll definitely have to head back there sometime. There is so many more things that I want to do their. Eventually I'll get around to posting all the pictures on my picture page.

It would also be cool idea to get a rubbing of the star. That would be pretty sweet to have a rubbing of his star hanging on the wall. I'd also love to visit his home town and get a grave rubbing as well.
As long as New Orleans is still above water you could probably count me in.
