Retirement
I'm now officially retired from the bar business. First thing when I show up I find out that it is only going to be two porters instead of three b/c our third got stuck bartending. I was like what the hell, they actually expect me to work hard on my last night. So I decided to drink while I worked. Go back to the good old days of drinking on the job. I had a drink every hour or so. It was probably a good thing b/c I've learned from the past that I work much faster when I'm a little inebriated. Go figure. The only downside is if someone asks me to do something I may tend to forget, which only happened once tonight. Then at the end of the night the staff presented me with a cake and card, which everyone signed. It was really very touching and it's good to know that I will be missed. It's really sad and very scary that I'm retiring , but I need this little kick in the ass so I can get the start on finding a permanent job for the rest of my life. Tyler Durden in Fight Club put it best "It's only after you've lost everything that you're free to do anything." And if that doesn't work, my boss said I was more that welcome to comeback if I ever wanted to.
