The Departed
Applause. Now that's what a call a fucking show. Lets have the Academy Awards tomorrow. Give every award to this film. This better be Scorsese's goddamn year. Give the man his well-deserved award. Wonderfully acted, and fanfuckingtastic dialogue. This is now officially my favourite film of the year.
Funny enough one guy sitting in front of me and another person as we were walking out said the ending was lame. Damn it man! Were you not paying attention to the fucking film. Just b/c you don't see it coming doesn't mean it's crap. I really wanted to hit the guy. LOL I'm glad I didn't see the original Japanesse film 'Infernal Affairs' before I saw it. It would have killed it for me. Now that I have seen this wonderful film though I want to see the original.
The film also uses three awesome songs throughout the film. One is 'Gimme Shelter' by The Rolling Stones. This I think is my favourite Stone song. I think it may have also been the first song of theirs I ever heard. Even before I knew it was the Stones. The first time I heard it was in the film Adventures in Babysitting. The next one is Pink Floyd's Comfortably Numb, which was used in the trailer as well. Then there is Dropkick Murphy's 'I'm Shipping up to Boston'. Once again another song that was also used in the trailer. I absolutely love this song now. It has a great Irish Punk Metal sound.
I wish I had thought of this while watching the film but it would have been hilarious if I yelled out Matt Damon like in Team America.

LOL - that's funny about the "Matt Damon" thing. I just saw the preview for the moview yesterday and as soon as we heard them say the name Joe and I were all making retarded Matt Damon sounds.
Haven't seen the movie, but based on your review I will look out for it. I brought that "Thank You for Not Smoking" out to a friends and everyone loved it - I wouldn't have heard of it if it wasn't for your blog! Keep em coming! (I might not be posting much but I try to stay current).
