Concerts
It is now official that I will be going to Red Hot Chili Peppers. SUPER SWEET!!! Not only will I be going but I'll be on the floor. Something like row 37. My brother was possibly going to get me a ticket from a friend of his. Then he told me they were releasing more tickets and I asked him to try that way too even if it meant that I wouldn't be near him. I just want to see them; I didn't care if I'm by myself. I've seen big concerts by myself before. Upon a couple of tries and a little bit of chance he got me a floor seat. I can even swap tickets with him and experience it from the floor and the stands.
Then I looked into Rolling Stones tickets. Luckily there are still some available. Although they are at the back of the stadium but eye level facing the stage. I thought they were going to sell out in a matter of minutes like Halifax did. Then I found out that the openers in Halifax are Kanye West, Alice Cooper, and Sloan. That would help explain the fast sell out. The opener in Vancouver is Van Morrison. My brother maybe heading out this way so I may have him to go with. If I do get tickets I think I will definitely have to go see The Who then. Just so I could say I've seen the Stones, Robert Plant, and The Who live.
And for those interested, yesterday I beat the overtime mode of Dead Rising. Now I've seen the true ending to the story. All I have to do now is complete all the little extras in order to say I've finished the game with 100%.

For those who don't want to know what happens in Dead Rising don't read any further.
Half way in the game you find out that the government had some secret research facility in a small Mexican town. They were working on something to do with cattle b/c we eat so much meat. Instead they create a parasite that turns people into zombies and it destroys this town but the government covers it up. One of the town’s folk who is pissed off at the government for the cover up steals the parasite and releases it into this other town so as to shed light on what they have done. The town gets overrun with Zombies and the military is once again called in to kill everyone in this town. Thus in the 72 hour mode your suppose to survive in the mall, while getting the story and eventually avoid being killed by the military at the end. At the end of 72 hours the helicopter that brought you in was going to pick you up. The copter was waiting and watching with binoculars on another building. When he goes to pick you up, a zombie has got on board causing the pilot to crash. You are then left on the helipad while Zombies start to surround you. That is the end of the 72 hour mode.
The beginning of overtime starts with the sister, of the terrorist who released the parasite, coming to your rescue. She was one of the people who you came across in the mall. She was also one of the researchers in the original town where things started. While she saves you, you pass out. It turns out you have been infected with the parasite. She is able to then administer a drug that suppresses the illness. But it is not a cure. You then find out that not only did the terrorist infect this city but he has infected 50 other people in cities all across the states and it is only a matter of time before they turn into zombies. The last person you have to face is the head military guy in hand-to-hand combat. Once you defeat him your left yelling at the top of lungs and fall to your knees. They say you make it out of town but that’s all I remember them mentioning about you. I was just so happy I beat the guy. He was a tough son of a bitch. They also say that the government took responsibility for what happened in the Mexican city but deny everything that happened in the mall. Sort of a weak ending I thought considering all the shit you have to go through. I guess leaving it open for a sequel and hopefully they end up explaining more.

Hey - just so you know - I bought an XBOX on the weekend and have been playing Dead Rising non-stop since. I'm not very far but Joe's lvl 31 so I'm just gonna play his char to beat the game and try out the different endings. I'd say it was definately worth buying an Xbox for, even though I had to sell my PS2 and 20games just to help pay for it!!!

The first time I mentioned the game you said you weren’t an Xbox girl. I guess all that has changed now, eh? Hehe. At least you think it was worth buying one for the game. I’m glad your now having just as much fun as me playing it. Too bad you had to sell you PS2 and your games. It certainly wouldn’t be something I’d be able to do. I would say I’m a pack rat. It’s hard to part with any of my stuff. I even hate to sell any of my DVD’s that I’ve doubled dipped. Even though I don’t need them anymore. I’ve now actually started to just give them away to friends or family. This way they at least go to someone I know.
Congrats to Joe for obtaining a lvl 31. I’m only at a 23 right now. I read the final guy was easier to beat with a level 40 or higher. I was thrilled I was able to do it with a 23. Some of the achievements seem like they will be harder to accomplish than the game itself. But I look forward to trying. Right now I’m on a break from playing for a bit. I’ve bought a lot of movies in the last week that I need to start catching up on. I also got the next season of Lost so now I’m once again hooked on that. I can’t wait see how this season turns out.
