The Matador

Here is another film recommendation that some may be interested in. It's a wickedly funny black comedy staring Pierce Brosnan and Greg Kinnear. Brosnan plays a hitman who is starting to lose his edge and Kinnear plays a businessman. They meet in a Mexican bar and form a friendship. It's one of those films that will make you laugh outloud. Anything that can cause me to burst out laughing makes for an excellent film. Then again I was drinking when I first saw it and when I'm drinking some things may seem funnier than they really are. It just came out on DVD this Tuesday. The film played at film festivals during most of 05. Thus to my good fortune there were DVD screener copies available to download off the internet. So I think I saw it for the first time back in November of last year. I think Kamloops eventually got a copy in February. If you want to watch something new that is funny then give this a try.
