I'm Still Alive
I have 22 minutes to try and some up the last week. First our trip to Romania got f-ed up b/c our train was really late. By the time we would have got in we would have had only 6 hours sleep then had only 5 hrs in town to try and find Vlads Castle then get on a plane to head to Vienna. Therefore we said screw that and trained to Vienna then on to Venice. It sucked we couldn't see anything Dracula related but at least we traded it for the Cannels of Venice.
From Venice we trained to Rome and thats where we have been the last few days. One thing we learned is that Italy is fairly disgusting. Lots of beggers and garbage on the streets. Venice is a very confusing place to get around without a good map. In about 2hrs we had walked in a complete circle. Rome was in ruins litterally. It was also very hot I think the temp was over 30 the entire time we were there. Walking around in the heat really sucked, but I did get a nice tan. Its a good thing that I tan well. Saw all the cool things your supose to see hear. Spent 2 hours in the line to get into the Vatican. Then only two hours in the place. It was lacking. Even the Sistine Chapel wasn't as impressive as I thought it would have been. But it still is cool to say that I saw the Sistine Chapel. Then we tried to train to Zurich but all the trains were booked. Even to our next destination (Paris) from Rome. So we had to train the long way around all the way to Paris. We went from Rome back to Munich then from their to Paris which is where I am now. It took almost 20 hrs. I can't believe the trip is almost over. :( As much as I'm looking forward coming home I'm really going to miss it over here.
One thing I really wanted to try in Italy was pasta and pizza, since pasta with meat sauce is my favourite meal of all time. I would say that I was disappointed with both over here. Its not that it was bad just that I've had better. All the pizza was thin crust and I prefer deep dish. Then I was really hoping the pasta would be the best I ever had but it wasn't. The best pasta I have ever had was at Peter's Pasta downtown kamloops. That is a really great restaurant.
So far I think I have taken close to 600 pics and have about 70 left. I hope it will last till the end of the trip. I do have some really great pics I can't wait to share.
We also managed to see the Davinci Code in Rome which I thought was funny seeing it there. It was sort of like a big screw you to the church. I see why they are pissed at it. It was also I really cool movie I thought.

This may or may not be may last post before I come back. Well technically I'm doing a commemt rather than a post. I'm back in London for the last few days and will be back in Canada on Monday night. Then when I get back I will be going blog crazy, writting so much stuff. If I have time I may fit one more in before I leave.
