Painful Summer
I think this is going to be a very painful summer. I haven't even started the bus tour season carrying bags and I'm already having to ice my shoulder. The years of carrying bags has completely destroyed my right shoulder. I think I have a torn muscle or something. Normally my time off in the winter heals it enough to at least last me through most of the summer, but I've worked at the bar all winter. I'm always carrying full bus pans and boxes of beer, which wouldn't be a problem if I didn't always have to hold it above my head just so I could make it through the crowd. I'm constantly putting strain right on this one spot. So my shoulder is completely shot even before I start carrying luggage. My problem is no matter how much it hurts I keep doing my job at the same pace and as a result doing even more damage. Hopefully this is the last year I'll be doing it, then I can give it some time to heal.
Yes I could've warned you that I was just going to be complaining in this post but then again you didn't have to read it either. :)

I do. Getting massaged all weekend really helped. One thing I learned from the class I took was half way through the first year you get to start practicing on the public. Students practice on people in the community for like $25 a massage. I think from now on when I travel to Kelowna I will always be stopping in Vernon for a massage on my way back.
