House of Buggin

Does anyone remember the TV sketch comedy show House of Buggin starting John Leguizamo? It was similar to SNL, In Living Color, and SCTV but with more of an aim towards latinos. It only lasted one season back in 1995. This show was really funny and provided a bunch of highly rememberable moments. I did manage to tape a few shows so I have been able to relive some of it. It seems like no one outside of my family remembers this show. One sketch was called Pass the Buck. It was a game show where you blame other person's ethnicities and religion for today's problem. The final round was 'Its the Jews' where your were told problems in the world and you say its the Jews.

Host: Taxes?
Guest: Its the Jews?
Host: Responsible for a double homicide?
Guest:It the Jews.
Host: Sorry, trick question we were looking for its the juice. (referring to OJ Simipson if you don't get it)."

Then they was Latino outings. Some Latino thugs would interrupt the program and out Latino celebrities.

Thug: Vana White your new and better name is Vana Blanka.

(calling Edward James Olmos)
Thug: Is this Edardo James Olmos?
EJO: Ya
Thug: Your Latino Right?
EJL: Ya, Of course I'm Latino. Everyone knows That...
Thug: (Abruptly) And don't you forget it! (hangs up)
Thug: We now return to your reguauruurs ( can't say regular) program.

Of course you need to watch it to really get the humor, so I hope this will come out on DVD someday.
