Hard Candy

This film looks like it is going to be pretty cool and if you heard over to Yahoo movies you can watch the first 8 1/2 minutes of the film. Here is the link to the films trailer. For those who don't know what it's is the story is about a pedophile who invites a 14 year old girl into his house after meeting online only to lead a disturbing game of cat and mouse with shocking consequences and shocking twists. The film was released in select cities last week and is getting a wider release this week. I hope it comes here, b/c I'd really like to see something good before I leave. I came back from American Dreamz tonight and was thinking it was going to be a really awesome film but once again I was let down.

I think the other reason I'd like to see it is I think Ellen Page is a super hottie and I can say that even if she's playing a 14 year old b/c she is really 19. I love her short hair in the film. She will also be playing Shawdowcat in X3.

Since the film hits a real touchy subject Lions Gate films started a wear red campaign. Wear red is a movement for online empowerment and awareness, inspired by the film and its protagonist’s red hoody. We are to wear a red hoody to stand up for online safety and against internet violence. I like that the studio is being responsible and promoting safety as opposed to just pulling the plug on the film and ignoring the issue.
